We are looking forward to photographing you for your graduation and personal portrait needs. To prepare for your sitting, here are some helpful suggestions: Clothing Attire: Please check your portrait confirmation regarding the proper attire for your school Hair Women: Should be worn the way you like it the best. Do not try a new style for the session unless you’re sure you like it. If you do plan a new haircut or perm, try to schedule it one week before your session so freshly cut ends won’t stand out. Hairspray helps loose ends. Clean hair makes a healthy appearance, just-washed hair may appear frizzy. Make-Up Women: To look natural, wear your normal evening or special occasion makeup. Use eye shadow to bring out eyes. An extra coat of mascara will make your lashes appear larger and fuller. Lip-gloss adds a sparkle. Blemishes can be minimized with a cover stick. Gentlemen: Be sure to shave shortly before the portrait session to avoid a “five o’clock” shadow. A cover stick can also be used to minimize blemishes. The Sun Please avoid heavy sun exposure a few days before your session. Sunburns and peeling noses cannot be retouched. Retouching Facial retouching is included with your finished portraits. Corrections on hair and clothing can be made by quotations. Glasses People who wear glasses will probably want to do so in their portraits. Some of the glare, should it occur, can be corrected. However, consider borrowing a set of empty frames from your optician or remove the lenses completely, if your glasses tend to create distortion on your face. Remember, tinted glasses will photograph slightly darker than they appear in real life. Special Poses Cap & Gown poses will be part of your session. The studio will provide the cap and gown. Previews Your portrait previews will be mailed within 4 weeks after the portrait session. Instructions will be included for selecting your poses and placing your personal portrait order. |
